NEW VEO Cincopod

NEW VEO Cincopod

April 01, 2021 , Vanguard World

We apologise, but we wont be producing this model.  However it has stimulated some great feedback.  If there are elements that you particularly like in this April Fool idea, please leave a comment in this blog and we will pass it back to the design team for future development.

Designed in collaboration with Spanish Vanguard Ambassador Loco Ramos, we are delighted to announce the launch of the VEO Cincopod tripod.

Loco Ramos

As a landscape photographer who works in the harshest environments, Loco needed a tough, all-terrain tripod that goes tall – really, really tall - allowing him to get the perfect angle, even on the steepest slopes. 15 months of research and development went into designing a product that met his exacting needs.

The VEO Cincopod introduces the concept of five 50mm 5-section legs. The number of legs allow the weight to be spread across five legs, rather than three. This, in combination with the 50mm leg diameter, allows the tripod to handle an outstanding payload of up to 55kg!  These legs include 5-easy set leg angles, allowing to be set for maximum stability on any terrain.

In addition, the VEO Cincopod introduces a solid new 5-section central column that starts at 50mm, and tapers down in 5mm increments to 25mm in the final tube.  This allows the tripod to hold the 55kg with ease at the lower settings, but allows the tripod to extend up to 5 metres and hold 5kg at this maximum setting, ideal for a solid setting on the side of a steeper mountainside.

Despite the capacity and height, the VEO Cincopod folds to just 55.5cm thanks to the legs that fold up around the central column, so it’s not too bulky. Despite being produced in 5-layered carbon however, there is a price to be paid for the specification, and the VEO Cincopod weighs in at 5kg, but we’d argue that’s not bad for a 5m tall tripod with 55kg load capacity!

VEO Cincopod Specifications

“Cinco” is the Spanish word for 5 and hence the VEO Cincopod is named to reflect the Spanish origin of this incredible tripod, alongside the multiples of 5 that recur within the specification.

Hallo dear VanGuard-Team, the “VEO Cincopod 555CB” is maybe een “1eApril-joke”, but photography-colleagus, I think we waiting for this product. Now I work with a temporary solution, I work with an “DocaPole 30 feet etension”. Shoot a little bit like a drone. But better, not-at-all, shoot with my high-resolution-camera NIKON D850, in the nature-landscape. There for I need minimal an tripod like an Cincopod (=+5m) and not with an drone. So Vanguard-people, help me to an good solution for this problem. Cheers Peter……
