VESTA AM-234TR Tri-Foot Aluminium Monopod Only

The Vanguard VESTA AM-234TR is a lightweight 4-section aluminium monopod only, with foldable tri-feet for added stability.

Whether you're looking to lighten your load, or need additional stability in a location where a tripod won't work, this monopod could be the ideal solution for shooting photo or video. With the portability of a monopod, the added tri-feet increase stability and functionality over a traditional monopod, while maintaining a compact footprint. This 23mm aluminium monopod leg weighs just 760g and can take a maximum load capacity of 12kg, more than enough to cope with all but the largest DSLR or Mirrorless kits.

The height of the monopod legs can be adjusted from 51cm to a great working height of 150cm using the lever locks.

The tri-feet are permanently fixed and flip up for transporting the monopod, and can be deployed in seconds with just a finger. The base also includes a ball joint which can be tightened for maximum stability, or loosened to allow more dynamic movement, for example, tracking a moving subject. In addition, the tri-feet allows you to pan using the monopod itself.

The 45mm wide canopy on the monopod allows you to mount any device such as a camera or monocular directly onto the 1/4" thread, though for maximum control we would recommend using a suitable head.  Key options to consider are a levelling adaptor such as the LVL-45, a small ball head such as the Arca compatible BH-50 or a small 2-way pan head like the VEO PH-24 (though for best results the pan head should be combined with the levelling adaptor). Your chosen head can then be secured using the non-slip screw on the canopy which will ensure that the head will not unscrew by mistake. 

Alternatively you could choose the VESTA AM-234TRB which is the same 23mm aluminium monopod with the BH-50 head included as part of the kit. 

Please note that the load capacity of your chosen head may impact the maximum load capacity as the load capacity would be the lower of the monopod or the head.

The wrist strap keeps the monopod close and safe at hand, and in use can help lock the legs by applying downward pressure, maximising the stability in use.

Please note that monopods with tri-feet are not designed to be left unattended with a camera attached as the the smaller footprint means that they are easier to knock over.
