Award winning landscape photographer Matt R. Watkins has been part of the Vanguard Ambassador team for a number of years. Born and raised on the edge of the Brecon Beacons National Park, Matt was drawn to spending as much time as possible outdoors. Naturally, photography has become the favoured means of documenting his travels.
Matt’s love for photography stems from when he was younger and used to act as an assistant to his father on his photo shoots. Back then they were using 35mm and medium format film cameras to capture images, which they developed and printed in a homemade dark room at the top of the stairs. Matt has recently rediscovered the joys of film photography, along with developing and processing rolls of film at home.
Matt runs The Photo Hub Facebook group and along with Vanguard, he is also an ambassador for Formatt Hitech filters.
