The Alta Pro 3X 304CLBPS is a carbon fibre tripod kit that is designed for photographers who need maximum stability in a more portable design. Perfect for those who travel further for their photoshoots, but work with heavy equipment such as DSLR or mirrorless cameras with telephoto lenses, ideal for astrophotography, wildlife or landscape photography.
Where most tripods include a built in central column, the Alta Pro 3X series has a fixed base plate that allows the head to connect directly to the legs. By removing the central column, this reduces weight and maximises stability. Without a central column, this tripod still extends to 1500mm and drops to 175mm, making it ideal for any photographer.
Where additional height is needed, separate telescopic carbon fibre central column is included that can be attached between the fixed base plate and the tripod head to add up to an additional 320mm, making the maximum height 1820mm using the included telescopic column.
With 30mm leg diameter, 4 sections and a load capacity of 25kg, this tripod remains steady and stable with heavy equipment. All this in a tripod that weighs only 1685g and folds down to 610mm with just an 85mm diameter, making it easy to carry in one hand or pack on to a backpack for longer hikes.
